Nina is an ambitious project. We wanted to introduce a versatile, multi-talented frame that could easily adapt to different uses. As at ease on the cyclocross course as it is on the road, the Nina is the ideal touring companion and is perfectly at home on even the roughest of gravel roads.
This frame can be equipped with electronic or mechanical shifting and thanks to its rocking dropouts, is also perfectly suited to single-speed use. There is generous tyre clearance, accommodating anything up to 40mm, so the Nina can deal with even the most demanding conditions. It is also designed to be fitted with disc brakes to offer the best possible braking performance in extreme weather. The hydraulic routing is partly internal, as are the cables for both front and rear derailleurs.
The special dropout design allows you to obtain the perfect chain tension should you wish to ride single-speed, and accessories are provided to close cable routings to the elements. Pannier racks are also easily fitted. Customers can choose between a frame with quick-release or thru-axle standards.
Cornering precision is guaranteed by a standard tapered head tube with different diameters from 1.5 “and 1” ⅛, combined a custom fork provided by Columbus.
Special double and triple-butted Columbus tubing is used, and as ever with Stelbel, TIG welded to ensure the highest-possible performance. Our frames are all custom built upon order, meaning the geometry is adaptable to the needs of each client.
