From Milan to Poland, a bold idea and a TIG-welded steel frame made history. Fifty years later, we celebrate the Stelbel frames that brought Poland to World Championship gold in 1975.

For Rouleur Live 2025, Stelbel partnered with award-winning graphic designer Matt Willey. His work is highly coveted and forms the visual foundation of the world’s most prestigious publications. Today, we are bringing you on a journey to discover what inspired him for the livery of this very special SB/04.

Stelbel SB/04

The bike honors the “Polish Connection”, a historic partnership between Stelio Belletti and the Polish Cycling Federation. In 1975, just two years after founding Stelbel, Belletti produced TIG-welded frames for the Polish team, who went on to win gold at the World Championships team time trial in Belgium by a razor-thin margin of 5.5 seconds.

Matt Willey’s livery draws inspiration from the original white-and-red frames, reinterpreting the story in a modern, striking design that bridges Milan, Poland, and Stelbel’s racing heritage.
This collaboration is a tribute to craftsmanship, courage, and fifty years of cycling history, bringing a legendary frame back into the spotlight for a new generation of enthusiasts.
