Stelbel T9.2 — A new chapter in titanium
There are bicycles built to take you somewhere. And then there are bicycles that make you want to keep going.
A road climbing towards the mountains, the quiet of an early morning, the simple pleasure of finding your rhythm and realising you are not quite ready to head home. These are the moments we think about when we build a bicycle. Not only speed and performance, but the feeling that makes every ride worth remembering.
The Ti9 was born from this idea. With the new T9.2 we take it a little further, and with it our road range finds its completion.
A story that began long ago
Stelbel’s relationship with titanium goes back further than the first Ti9 itself. Stelio Belletti discovered the material’s potential through his friendship with Amelio Riva, the Bergamo-based pioneer who first brought titanium into Italian cycling. They met at races, exchanged ideas and shared the curiosity of craftsmen who never stopped exploring.
Stelio built a small number of titanium prototypes before continuing his work with steel and stainless steel. Years later, the Ti9 picked up that thread, turning an early curiosity into a new project shaped by our own experience and vision.
Sometimes, the future begins with a story left unfinished.
An idea, refined
For the T9.2, we worked with Columbus to develop a dedicated Grade 9 titanium tubing set based on the Hyperion family, seeking the right balance of lightness, responsiveness and composure.
The new version introduces 3D-printed rear dropouts, UDH compatibility, a redesigned head tube, an updated titanium T47 bottom bracket shell and an integrated seat clamp with titanium and stainless steel hardware. Every detail is developed to work as part of a coherent whole.
The frame is paired with our in-house-designed Evoluzione carbon fork, featuring fully integrated cable routing and clearance for tyres up to 35c.
Available in standard sizes and as a fully made-to-measure frame, the T9.2 can be built around your body and the way you ride.
The pleasure of going further
Titanium has a character of its own. It responds clearly to every pedal stroke while smoothing the small imperfections of the road. The T9.2 combines the responsiveness of a racing frame with the composure that makes long days in the saddle something to look forward to.
It is made for riders who love speed but know that a great ride cannot be measured by the clock alone. For those who choose the longer road at a crossroads, or find one more reason to add a few kilometres before heading home.
Available in standard sizes and as a fully made-to-measure frame, the T9.2 can be built around your body and the way you ride.
A complete road range
With the arrival of the T9.2, the Stelbel road range is complete. Steel, stainless steel and titanium: three materials, three distinct characters, one way of understanding the bicycle. Today, for every rider and every way of experiencing the road, there is a Stelbel frame designed to go with them.
But the story does not end here. Titanium still has much to say, and soon it will say it beyond the tarmac too: the Ti9 is getting ready for a new road, that of its gravel version.
Every T9.2 is born in Bonate Sopra, in our new workshop near Bergamo. This is where we build everything in-house, from design to TIG welding, carried out by hand using techniques refined over decades of practice.
A new place, created to safeguard a long-standing craft and give it room to keep growing.
Titanium resists corrosion and retains its qualities over time. But to us, lasting value means something more: creating a bicycle you grow attached to, one that accompanies you through new roads, changing seasons and years of memories without losing its character.
Because a Stelbel is not built simply to take you to your destination.
It is built to make the journey matter — and to make you want to ride again tomorrow.
