Stelio Belletti was born on November 19, 1932, in Mantova. He spent his later years in the small town of Roncello, halfway between Bergamo and Milan. He was the most passionate cyclist we have ever known, and perhaps he was also the humblest person we have ever known.
Stelio passed away on October 5, 2023. That morning, he had gone out for a bike ride. He started cycling as a young boy, and he never stopped since then.
It was an honor to know you, Stelio. We are honored to work on the Stelbel brand, the result of your genius and creativity. Thank you for what you taught us. Thank you for what you passed down to us. Thank you for your friendship. Thank you for the laughter.
For us, Stelio Belletti was one of the most important figures in the Italian frame building school, and we are confident that anyone who has seen or ridden one of his creations will think the same way.
