At the core of the Stelbel SB/04 model lies the essence of our heritage. We remain devoted to innovation while staying true to the tradition and teachings of Maestro Stelio Belletti. The new SB/04 represents our most race-focused frame, and with this latest upgrade, it becomes the epitome of technological advancement in Stelbel’s history.
SB/04 makes its debut in the fiftieth anniversary of the brand’s foundation, setting Stelbel in to a new trajectory that incorporates 3D printing technology into its frame building.
Equally significant is the introduction of the new Stelbel carbon fiber fork, internally designed and manufactured in Italy with the goal of further improving performance and riding experience.
The fourth version of the “Stelio Belletti” frame model is crafted from a series of highly technological steel alloy tubes, specially produced by Columbus Tubi, with whom we have always collaborated, to meet our unique specifications. The tube diameters are larger compared to the rest of the range, a choice aimed at achieving greater structural rigidity, typical of high-performance frames.
Additionally, we have a completely new tapered headtube, significantly lighter than in the past, and enhanced with new integrated headset bearing seats (IS 42/28.6 | IS 47/33). The T47x68 bottom bracket shell is completely new, designed internally to be both stiffer and lighter, while optimizing the internal routing of the rear brake cable.
Just as it was in the beginning with the SB series models, SB/04 has a clear objective: to promote steel as the material for constructing high-performance racing frames, specially designed for competitions, where its superior efficiency delivers a clear advantage in power transfer to the rear wheel. All of this, naturally paired with the comfort and riding pleasure that only this material can provide.”
The SB series models have always represented a testing ground for new solutions and the introduction of significant innovations, and this new version is no exception. Like all Stelbel frames, it is entirely handcrafted in Italy, one frame at a time, made to measure.
Each and every Stelbel frame is made to measure and designed with a custom geometry. After an order is confirmed and a deposit payment placed, the frame design will start based on the available information and documents (Measurements form, Bike-fit report, …). Customer will be interviewed to better understand riding style, wishes, goals and expectations for the new bike. A frame’s CAD drawing will be shared to be commented, analyzed, refined and eventually approved before manufacturing can start.
You can place an order directly with us via [email protected] or from one of our official retailer partners. An order is confirmed once a deposit payment is received via wire transfer or Paypal. Shortly after, a document providing an overview of the project details and a cad drawing of the frame will be shared for your approval. Pictures of the finished frame/bike will be shared with you prior to requesting the final balance payment. In case you’re considering coming to visit us in Bergamo to discuss the details of a project face to face, or to pick up your new frame/bike, you will be made very welcome by our team.
