The Antenore is a tribute to Antenore Belletti, Stelio’s father, as well as the rich history. Stelbel has built stainless steel frames, and was chosen to pay tribute to the best teacher that Stelio could have hoped for. He was among the first to experiment with TIG welding those special steel alloys.
The Antenore Disc is the latest evolution of the family of frames made from XCr stainless steel tubing – a very precious material which requires very skilled hands to work with but offers incredible performance. Flat mount disc brakes proved to be a perfect match with this tubing and the adoption of thru axles has contributed to the reduction of lateral flex. These features combined really enhance the unique and exceptional ride quality of the Antenore Disc.
The latest generation of the Stelbel Antenore Disc features:
– Overall re-design of the XCr tubing to optimise performance
– Completely new seat tube for 27.2 mm seat posts for increased comfort
– New lighter and stiffer chain stays
– New lighter and stiffer one-piece flat-mount
– T47 Bottom Bracket Shell
– Re-designed and lighter Head-Tube
– Columbus Futura SLX Disc fork (1”¼)
– New A3 paint scheme
Made with Columbus XCr stainless steel alloy tubing with custom details designed exclusively for this model; the non-conical oval section chainstays are a distinctive feature of modern Stelbel frames, and the Antenore is no exception. Our custom designed chainstays have a 30x20mm oval cross section. The Antenore Disc features a re-designed rear dropout CNC machined from a single block making it lighter and stiffer. This results in enhanced braking performance and assures perfect wheel and caliper alignment.
The cable routing for mechanical shifting is partially internal whereas electronic shifting cables are always routed internally. The shifter cable tension can be adjusted thanks to the stainless steel down tube cable guides equipped with inline adjusters. The bottom bracket shell is equipped with stainless steel external cable guides, and the right chainstay is outfitted with internal rear derailleur cable routing, a typical feature of modern Stelbel road frames.
The rear hydraulic brake cable is internally routed through the down tube and then again inside the non-drive chainstay. Internal cable routing for mechanical shifter cables are available on request. In addition fully hidden cables with cable routing through stem, head-tube and frame is available for the Antenore Disc with electronic shifting on request.
With the 3rd generation of the Antenore we introduced a new paint scheme leaving the Bottom Bracket area and the rear triangle ‘raw’. Painting the area of the seat clamp allows for a nice merge of a painted carbon seatpost into the silhouette of the frame. The frame features the “Stelbel” name engraved on the head tube, bottom bracket shell and brake bridge.
The geometry is completely custom and the frame can be adapted for mechanical, electronic or wireless groupsets. The Antenore is also available as a rim brake version.
As with all our models, it is a completely custom handmade product made exclusively in Italy.
Each and every Stelbel frame is made to measure and designed with a custom geometry. After an order is confirmed and a deposit payment placed, the frame design will start based on the available information and documents (Measurements form, Bike-fit report, …). Customer will be interviewed to better understand riding style, wishes, goals and expectations for the new bike. A frame’s CAD drawing will be shared to be commented, analyzed, refined and eventually approved before manufacturing can start.
You can place an order directly with us via [email protected] or from one of our official retailer partners. An order is confirmed once a deposit payment is received via wire transfer or Paypal. Shortly after, a document providing an overview of the project details and a cad drawing of the frame will be shared for your approval. Pictures of the finished frame/bike will be shared with you prior to requesting the final balance payment. In case you’re considering coming to visit us in Bergamo to discuss the details of a project face to face, or to pick up your new frame/bike, you will be made very welcome by our team.
