The “Belletti Frame”

In the world of cycling, a frame built in the Officina Belletti is universally recognized as “Stelbel,” but Stelio Belletti already had extensive experience in frame building well before the birth of the famous racing bicycle brand.

In the years prior, within the world of motorcycle racing, several prestigious Italian and international companies turned to a small Milanese workshop for the construction of high-performance, custom-built frames intended for their racing models.

These frames—lightweight, rigid, and characterized by a double-cradle configuration with extremely refined welds for the time—were known among industry insiders as “Belletti Frames.”

Among the historic brands that built motorcycles using frames hand-crafted by Stelio and Antenore Belletti were Paton, LinTo, Guazzoni, Puch Frigerio, Aermacchi, and even Honda, to name just a few.
